Are linen curtains blackout?

The blackout level of your linen curtains generally depends on their weight. If you already have blackout shutters and your room is already well insulated, you can opt for a lightweight linen voile with a weight of 125 g/m². Would you like to have curtains in a bedroom to block out light , cold , and also surrounding noise ? In that case, choose a weight of around 800 g/m². Take care not to exceed 30°C and ideally choose a spin speed of no more than 400 rpm. Rather than using a tumble dryer, it is preferable to air dry your washed linen curtains. You can also wash your linen curtains by hand . Simply soak them in a basin of lukewarm soapy water. Gently rub the curtains, drain them without wringing the fibres, and allow them to dry outdoors .

Do I need to iron washed linen curtains?
