Welcome to the Ambrumesnil family farm! Embrin invites you on a guided tour of its workshops and explains, step by step, its manual and artisanal making process.
Our workshop on the farm
Embrin’s workshop is based in the heart of Normandy, on its maritime edge. In the old barns of the family-run farm, our seamstresses make linen homeware and decorations.
Our unique workshop, nestled in the old brick and flint barns of the farm and covering 400 m², offers a privileged working environment for our entire team.
Located among the family flax fields, it strengthens our connection with our raw material, while encouraging inspiration and creativity for everyone.
Our offices are also located in this space, enabling rapid development of our projects.
Our making process
The making of our collections follows a specific process that ensures their quality and longevity. It begins when the fabric rolls are unrolled on our cutting tables. Our attention to detail, materials, colours and the spirit that drives our brand are present at every stage of making.
Before any making, our makers unroll and cut the fabric by hand, piece by piece.
Unlike industrial methods, which use machines to cut stacked layers, we are committed to preserving this craft technique, which is time-consuming and demanding, but guarantees the quality of our products.
We believe that this manual, piece-by-piece cutting is essential for linen fabrics, as it is the only way to achieve the “straight grain”, meaning to follow the warp thread precisely, for a product that is perfectly straight and will not lose its shape over time.
Our seamstresses then transform these pieces of fabric into finished made-to-measure products using their expertise and specialist machines such as lockstitch and overlockers. They carefully finish each item before folding and packing them one by one for dispatch. Each product is unique and is made from start to finish by the same seamstress.
Our partner workshops
In addition to our farm workshop, we have also selected three partner making workshops for Embrin. All three are located in France, less than 300 kilometres from us, and each one handles part of our making. This helps to maintain employment in these workshops, while supporting the local economy and ensuring our quality of craftsmanship.
This proximity allows us to be extremely flexible and responsive, making your orders in the shortest possible time while ensuring flawless quality. This collaborative expertise also enables us to make to order, so we can adjust our stock precisely and avoid unsold items.

We are delighted to welcome visitors to the family farm and our workshop, either individually or in groups. During your visit, you can discover the flax cycle, from field to finished product.
