Linen Bath Linen: An Ecological and Comfortable Choice
It is a little-known fact, but linen fibre is ideal for making bath towels. At Embrin, we have our linen woven for bath linen using the so-called "honeycomb" technique. The resulting high-quality fabric is cellular, enhancing both the comfort and absorbency of linen.
Using linen bath linen comes with numerous advantages. This natural fibre quickly absorbs moisture and withstands frequent washing without damage.
Linen: exceptional water absorbency and durability

This fabric can absorb up to 20% of its weight in water! Linen fibre is in fact one of the most absorbent fibres available.
To the touch, this means it never feels damp.
The strength of linen fibre is another advantage, as over time and many washes, towels retain their colour, shape, and softness.
Towels offering comfort and quick drying
Beyond its absorbency, linen bath sheets are distinguished by their softness, as the fibre is softened after the towels are made. Over time, they become even more comfortable (unlike cotton, which often becomes coarse). On the skin, the sensation is delightful, especially as you dry off more quickly. Whether stepping out of the shower or at the pool, these bath sheets are perfect, as they warm you up rapidly.
As this material is hypoallergenic, it is suitable for those with sensitive or delicate skin, and does not cause irritation. Antibacterial, it also prevents the proliferation of bacteria.
Linen towels are less bulky than their cotton counterparts, making them easier to store and transport, whether in a suitcase or sports bag. The weight per square metre of linen bath linen is lower than that of cotton or other conventional materials.
When linen towels are wet, they are lighter than cotton towels. If you need to pack them away in a bag after use, you’ll notice the difference!
