Linen fibres are bound together by pectin, a hydrophilic substance also used to insulate houses and regulate humidity. Needless to say, linen is a natural material perfectly suited to absorbing moisture: linen bath towels can hold up to 20% of their weight in water, while still offering a dry and pleasant feel.
They are far more effective than cotton towels: you don’t need to rub for long to dry your skin. Simply dab the linen towel gently on your damp skin and that’s all it takes! This way, your skin isn’t irritated and your linen towel is barely damp.
