Our Linen Pillowcases

Linen is a truly remarkable material. Choosing a linen pillowcase means opting for quality household linen designed to last, that cares for you throughout the night, helps you sleep better, and at the same time protects the environment. Discover below all the benefits of our linen pillowcases!

A strong fibre designed to last

Linen pillowcaseThe linen pillowcase is made from an exceptionally robust material: these are the strongest plant fibres! No matter how much you toss and turn night after night, they do not wear out easily or lose their shape. Our linen pillowcases will accompany your nights for years if cared for properly.

Unlike most materials, the linen pillowcase handles machine washing extremely well and does not pill. It is one of the few fibres that does not lose its strength or quality when wet! What’s more, linen bedding is highly resistant to stains and dirt: its fibres do not cling and are very easy to clean. The linen pillowcase is incredibly easy to care for!

The advantage of thermo-regulation

Washed linen is known as a thermo-regulating material: linen bedding keeps you cool in summer, when sleeping is difficult due to a stifling bedroom atmosphere. Conversely, in winter, linen offers gentle warmth.

Our washed linen pillowcases also absorb excess moisture. Linen can retain around 20% of its weight in water! This means you wake up feeling refreshed in crisp, cool bedding.

A hypoallergenic and antibacterial material

Our linen pillowcases are hypoallergenic and antibacterial. They are ideal for those with sensitive skin or who regularly experience allergy issues. Among other benefits, linen bedding repels dust mites and bacteria that can disturb your sleep.

As you already know, linen pillowcases absorb moisture and dry very quickly. This helps to limit the growth of bacteria and does not provide an ideal environment for dust mites to thrive.

A soft and pleasant pillowcase

Linen pillowcaseOur pillowcases are made from washed linen: this is a fabric that has been softened through several machine washes and a high-temperature softening process before being offered for sale. You can rest your head on a beautifully soft washed linen pillowcase, for wonderfully comfortable nights and optimal sleep quality. The good news is, the more you wash your linen pillowcases, the softer they become!

This softness also brings an anti-stress effect, helping you relax both body and mind for easier sleep. The result: you fall asleep faster, sleep more deeply, and wake up feeling refreshed!

An ecological fibre

Our pillowcases are eco-friendly! Linen is a fibre that requires no irrigation or GMOs to grow well and produce quality fibres: this crop uses very few resources and thus helps care for our beautiful planet. What’s more, it is local: over 85% of the world’s linen is grown in European fields, with 55% in Normandy. The linen industry creates many jobs while using few resources: it is beneficial for everyone!

When linen is harvested, every part of the plant is used: it produces very little waste. The long linen fibres are used to make high-quality fabrics such as our bedding. The short fibres, also known as tow, are used for upholstery and composite materials. Finally, the straw, or shives, are used to make boards and animal bedding.

On Embrin, you’ll also find duvet covers, fitted sheets, flat sheets and even linen curtains of exceptional quality to complement your linen pillowcase!

Washed Linen Pillowcase Plum

Washed Linen Pillowcase in Fig Red
