Our Commitments

Our Commitments

At Embrin, we are committed to offering you quality products that will enhance your interior—but that's not all! Discover the promises we make to you every day, whether environmental, ethical, or social.

Exemplary traceability

From seed to fibre, our linen is produced on the soil of our beautiful Normandy. It is grown in the fields of the region, then processed by the local cooperative Terre de Lin, which our family has been a member of for many years. This specialised company brings together over 600 member farmers and 220 employees across 6 production sites, all located in Normandy.

The design of our products is carried out in-house, in our workshops on the family farm. Most of our products are also made there by our seamstresses, but we also work with 3 partner workshops, all located in France.

We are therefore proud to be featured on Le Site du Made in France, alongside many other players who share our values.

Respect for our environment

Our linen, certified European Flax, is grown to respect the soil and biodiversity: no GMOs, no defoliants, long crop rotation, and no irrigation.

Once pulled, it undergoes natural field retting, then is mechanically processed without chemicals.

The dye used on our fabrics is REACH and Oeko-Tex certified, guaranteeing the absence of harmful substances for people and the environment.

Once our products are made, they are shipped to you in boxes made in Normandy, from recycled cardboard.

For delivery, we have chosen to work exclusively with Colissimo, an eco-friendly delivery system. In fact, La Poste offsets all CO2 emissions related to the delivery of our parcels through environmental initiatives.

A social & ethical responsibility

At Embrin, we regularly work with ESATs—Establishments and Services for Assistance through Work—organisations that enable people with disabilities to enter or re-enter working life. These establishments produce for us all fabric samples as well as some making.

Rire d'EnfantsIn addition, we have chosen to donate part of our profits each year to a charity.

We have thus supported the associations "Rires d’Enfants" and "Les ptits Doudous", whose mission is to make hospital stays more pleasant for children.

A fair and transparent price

Les avantages du linOffering you fair prices all year round means choosing to forgo major promotional offers. This way, we do not encourage overconsumption. At Embrin, the breakdown of our price is completely transparent:

  • 42%: purchase of raw materials & making,
  • 20%: VAT,
  • 15%: salaries & payroll charges,
  • 11%: operating costs,
  • 5%: duties and taxes.
  • This leaves 7% net margin which allows us to fund new ideas, improve our employees' working conditions, or invest in advertising.

A strong and durable fibre

One of the main properties of linen fibre is its strength.

The yarns used for the making of our items are made with long fibre from the plant, giving them great longevity. This enables our items to withstand the passage of time and machine washing.

A certified quality

Masters of Linen LogoOur linen is European Flax® certified, a label that promotes environmentally friendly and rotational farming, to avoid depleting the soil. Linen fibre is also the only plant textile fibre produced in France and Europe.

France Terre Textile Logo

Our partner making workshops are labelled France Terre Textile. This not only guarantees jobs remain in France but also reflects a transparent approach, impeccable quality, and deep respect for the environment and employees.

Oeko-Tex LogoOur products are Oeko-Tex certified, a globally recognised trust label that guarantees environmental protection and consumer health. This certification ensures no harmful substances are used in the manufacturing process.

Masters Of Linen LogoEmbrin works with weaving and spinning partners certified Masters of Linen, a European brand bringing together the best French and European players in linen production, in terms of traceability, quality and ecology.
