How to choose the right height and size for a valance sheet?

For each colour, you choose the size of your bed base as well as its height , measured from the floor to the top, including the slats. This double selection ensures a product that fits the exact dimensions of your bed perfectly.

How is the bed base valance installed?

The linen valance fits directly over the bed base, like an enveloping cover, with no ties or fastening system to install. Simply slip it on to fully cover the bed base.

What sizes of valance do you offer?

We offer all standard sizes , from single beds to king size double beds, to cover all mattress base dimensions available.

Is linen really an eco-friendly material?

Yes: linen requires neither irrigation nor GMOs, it is grown in Normandy and then processed mechanically, without harmful chemicals. Our linen is Oeko-Tex certified , ensuring safety for both your skin and the environment.

Is linen more durable than cotton, gauze or satin?

Yes: linen is a naturally stronger fabric than cotton, gauze or satin, with a much longer lifespan. The more you wash it, the softer the fibre becomes, without ever losing its structure.

Where are Embrin valances made?

Our valances are handmade in the farm workshop , in the heart of Seine-Maritime, using linen grown in Normandy.

Washed Linen Valance in Prussian Blue

This Prussian Blue Washed Linen Valance with closed corners offers you a vibrant colour, excellent durability and an ecological aspect that will appeal to lovers of premium bed linen!

Made entirely from quality washed linen, this valance is naturally elegant, especially thanks to its attractive split corners. Our linen is grown in the fields of Normandy and processed in France using traditional craftsmanship. We use only the longest linen fibres: these give it great longevity.

Linen is also an ecological plant that requires very few resources to thrive. Once harvested, it produces almost no waste: every part of the plant is used.

Very practical, this linen valance allows you to cover your bed base in an elegant and original way. If your base is a little worn, it’s the perfect solution!

Embrin’s tip: to set its lovely Prussian blue colour and soften the fabric, we recommend soaking your linen valance in a basin of cold water with 25 cl of white vinegar overnight, then machine washing at 30°C maximum.

5/5

When I received my order I immediately saw that everything was perfect: high quality parcel, careful inside, delicate presentation of the linen and of course impeccable quality and making. Fully deserved compliments, which make one proud to have such a French company. Well done to everyone (especially to Hélène)

Quite simply perfect! Quality and making of course, but also: attention, kindness, taking into account the slightest request, punctuality. I really appreciated the spirit of this company, well done!

For over a year we have been using Embrin products, bath towel, pillowcase, fitted sheet, duvet cover, napkin. The quality of the products is really appreciable. (The products become softer and softer after each wash.) The parcels are carefully packed, the team's responsiveness is great. We can only recommend Embrin, a fine French company!

Linen sheets grown, spun, woven and sewn within a small area. Thick, strong fabric with a beautiful colour, which arrives very nicely packaged with the name of the seamstress for even more personalisation and traceability. A rare but so precious company nowadays.

I am finally taking the time to thank Hélène and the seamstresses at the farm who managed to make and send me 3 beautiful raw linen tablecloths for our wedding table in record time! French making with excellent value for money, which can be proud of itself for the great quality of its linen. Not to mention the made-to-measure design, the kindness and attentiveness to find a solution during the holiday period! In short, I highly recommend!

We have been loyal for several years. Sleeping in linen is really most pleasant. Butterfly sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, everything is perfect and their linen weaving does not wear out like the usual sheets you find in shops. Also, the welcome is warm, it is a pity they are so far from us to visit them.

Order arrived quickly, very well packed, careful work, the finishes are impeccable, the colours match the pictures on the website. You can feel the love for working with this material from the field to the making. I think I will order again, long live local shopping and French work.

Very beautiful covers with nice finishing. The order went really well! The team always answered my questions quickly and clearly. The colour of the sheets is even more beautiful than in the photos. I followed the care guide to the letter with the steps before first use. Really all good and well thought out!

Thank you again for your magnificent products, very well made. Third order with you, the quality is always there. Of course it is an investment but at least everything is made in France! Colour that matches perfectly with the honey colour!
