Where should you place a quilt?

The quilt is an extra layer , so there are few rules for using it, as long as it keeps you warm . It can be placed across the entire bed on very cold nights, or folded in half at the foot of the bed for milder nights. It all depends on the sleeper’s preference!

How to clean your quilt?

It is not necessary to wash your quilt as often as you wash your sheets. It should be washed after a stain or possibly at the beginning and end of the season. Washing at 30°C or 40°C is perfectly suitable (limit to 30°C for the very first wash), taking care to select a gentle spin cycle beforehand . Finally, Embrin recommends air drying to avoid damaging the linen fibres in the tumble dryer or risking discolouration of the fabric.

How do you remove stains from a linen quilt?

If you have stained your linen quilt, don’t worry! There’s a solution for every type of stain. You can remove a chocolate stain using a mixture of warm vinegar, lemon juice, water, and washing-up liquid. For blood stains , use warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid. If it’s a wine stain , sparkling water is best. For coffee stains , gently rub with stain-removing soap . For tea stains , a mixture of 90° alcohol and white vinegar will do the trick. Lipstick marks will disappear with methylated spirits.

How can I preserve the colour of my quilted bedspread?

To preserve the brightness of its colours, it is recommended to soak the linen quilt in white vinegar , to which a cup of coarse salt has been added, for one to two hours. The quilt can then be given a quick machine wash to remove the smell.

Which quilt pattern for which sheet colours?

Overall, there is no right or wrong answer. That said, some designs are better suited to certain Embrin colours than others. The Twilight on the Cliffs design pairs perfectly with the colours Apricot , Teal Duck , Saffron or Chalk . The In the Shade of the Apple Trees design works well with the colours Natural , Storm Grey or Fig Red . The Zen Garden design matches the colours Midnight Blue , Prussian Blue , Almond Green or Mist Grey . For the Beechwood Walk design, the colours Apricot , Natural , Linden Green or Flax Flower are all a good fit. The colours Chalk , Fig Red , Maritime Pine and Flax Flower highlight the Linen Herbarium quilt. The Riverside Cottage print offers a lovely contrast with the colours Linden Green , Storm Grey or Aubergine . The Wild Fauna pattern goes perfectly with the colours Bark Brown, Khaki and Honey . The Leopard Prints pattern will pair beautifully with the shades Heather or Natural . The Romance quilt in Flowering Fallow will be enhanced by the colours Saffron and Bark Brown . The colours Fig Red and Forest Green are a good match for the Dreams in the Undergrowth quilt . The Celadon Green and Midnight Blue will bring beautiful nuances to the Flight of Pheasants print. The Infusion of Flowers quilt will dress an Apricot duvet cover beautifully. As for the Summer Leopard Dress design , it will complement a Petal Pink duvet cover or a Linden Green sheet .

How to choose the right quilt?

We recommend choosing a quilt that covers the entire body rather than a model that only covers the feet. It is preferable to keep the body at a uniform ambient temperature while at rest to support healthy blood circulation , which can sometimes be less effective during sleep. Therefore, it is best to choose a quilt with the largest possible dimensions , especially if two people are sharing the same bed. Embrin quilts measure 140x200 cm, which matches the size of a standard double mattress. This format allows both sleepers to enjoy a warm environment for restorative sleep . Embrin fills its quilts with wadding made from 50% merino and 50% polyester . This prevents allergies caused by feathers and down, as well as feathers escaping from the fabric, which can create unpleasant sensations.

Nous sommes fidèles depuis plusieurs années. Dormir dans du lin est vraiment des plus agréable. Draps papillons, housses de couette, taies d'oreiller tout est parfait et leur tissage de lin ne s'use pas comme les draps courants du commerce. En plus l'accueil est chaleureux, dommage qu'ils soient si loin de chez nous pour leur rendre visite.
