Just a small personal remark, I find the length of the bolster too short once the tie is knotted. The remaining end is not long enough and so it looks like a little "bun" of fabric, but this does not spoil the quality of the linen. (Especially as it is the same length for a 120 or 140 bed)
I have old bolster covers from my grandmother made in the same way with a tie passed through a hem, but the remaining fabric once the tie is pulled is much longer. (I am 73 years old!)
