With Bleu Horizon and Bleu Azur, Embrin unveils two new shades inspired by the landscapes of Normandy. Two interpretations of blue, drawn from the ever-changing light between sky and sea.
Bleu Horizon evokes that distant line where the elements meet. A soft blue, slightly greyed, that creates a peaceful and timeless atmosphere.
This blue is also typical of Normandy woodwork, historically painted in this pastel blue, paired with the brick and ochre tones of the façades.

Bleu Azur celebrates the light of summer days. Brighter and more radiant, it brings freshness and vitality while retaining the natural elegance of washed linen.

At EMBRIN, we develop our colours in-house. Everything starts with inspiration from a Normandy landscape, a plant, or a season. We also pay close attention to suggestions from our customers. These two new blues were created following our latest colour survey, which we conducted by email a few months ago.
We first create a series of colours with paint. Once dry, we invite the whole team—and sometimes even customers in the shop—to vote for their favourite shades.
We then deliberate to choose which colour to develop, and we send the sample to our dyer, who carefully sends us a trial on our linen. After receiving the fabric rolls, our team of seamstresses sets about making the full EMBRIN product range. We then organise outdoor photo shoots for the website, and that's how a new colour is born after several weeks of development.
