The programme Échappées Belles visits EMBRIN
At the beginning of July, we had the pleasure of welcoming the film crew from the programme Échappées Belles for a feature dedicated to the Vélomaritime. This cycle route, which runs from Étretat to Cap Gris-Nez along the coast, passes through Ambrumesnil, right at the edge of our family fields.
We were therefore delighted to host Sophie Jovillard, the programme’s presenter, together with the production team for a full day at the farm.
The day’s itinerary included a tour of the flax fields with Alexis, who explained the various stages of flax cultivation and processing. The event was also an opportunity to highlight Normandy’s leading position in the global production of textile flax.
Later, Sophie joined Camille, who introduced her to our brand new making workshop as well as our showroom, both set up in the farm’s former barns. In fact, a 400 m² space has just been fitted out in these traditional buildings, notably to welcome visitors.
A short making demonstration was given by our seamstresses, offering a glimpse of the meticulous expertise required for working with flax.

For the occasion, Sophie Jovillard was also joined by François Piccione, who travels across France by bicycle to discover inspiring initiatives throughout the country. François is the founder of the website les-nouveaux-aventuriers.fr as well as a podcast, which we highly recommend.
