Each year, Seine-Maritime celebrates one of its most iconic crops: flax. Through the event "Le Printemps du Lin", organised by Seine-Maritime Attractivité, the region pays tribute to this natural fibre, which is an integral part of the identity of the Pays de Caux and all of Normandy.
For several months, locals and visitors alike are invited to discover flax in all its forms: in the fields, in workshops, in kitchens, and even in artistic creations.

Le Printemps du Lin runs from the end of winter to the beginning of summer, a period that follows the major stages of flax cultivation. Over the months, a rich programme allows you to understand this plant, from its cultivation through to its transformation.

This is also the perfect time to take part in the many activities on offer: walks through the fields, gourmet hikes, exhibitions, or the famous "Soirées Bleues", which celebrate the beauty of the flax flower and the unique atmosphere of the Normandy countryside.

The Flax Festival: the grand finale of the season
The Printemps du Lin season concludes with a major event: the Festival du Lin et de la Fibre Artistique, held at the beginning of July in the Dun Valley.
For several days, villages, churches and heritage sites are transformed into spaces for exhibitions, workshops and encounters centred around flax: fashion shows, textile exhibitions, demonstrations of know-how, or business visits.
It is the perfect opportunity to discover all the creativity and innovation that this fibre inspires today.
