Embrin outfits the ambassador catamaran We Explore
It was during the Linen Festival last July that the Explore team met the creators behind Embrin. Since then, the brand has had the honour of furnishing the ambassador catamaran of the incubator.
What is Explore?
Explore is an incubator for positive and sustainable initiatives that brings people together around fresh ideas for humanity and the planet. A philanthropic fund founded by Roland Jourdain, double winner of the Route du Rhum in 2006 and 2010, and by his partner, lawyer Sophie Jourdain Vercelletto, in 2013, Explore supports projects aiming to develop solutions that unite society and nature so we can all play a part in the environmental transition.
And what about the catamaran?
The ambassador catamaran We EXPLORE was conceived to explore the exchanges between land and sea “and in particular, the coastal ecosystems on both sides of the Atlantic, with the Route du Rhum 2022 as a shared catalyst for these ‘sea-landers’.” On the agenda: educational awareness around coastal zones, especially between France and Guadeloupe along the Route du Rhum.
Embrin finds its place on board
It is on this vessel, which sails with ideas and fosters dialogue, that Embrin has found its place! As a sustainable initiative, the brand caught the attention of the Explore collective, and its bed linen now dresses the catamaran’s cabins.
The crew chose duvet covers in honey, forest green, slate blue and natural; and pillowcases in the same colours. The honey and forest green duo symbolises the “ONF-Agir pour la Forêt” endowment fund, while the slate blue and natural pairing is, of course, a nod to the sea.
“The ocean is the planet’s primary carbon sink, the forest is the second. Everything is connected, blue and green. There are no longer sailors or land-dwellers, we are all ‘sea-landers’.”

Much more than a partnership, this is a convergence of ideas and a fusion of initiatives between Embrin and Explore. Embrin stands alongside the Explore team to support the cause of sustainability and the environmental transition.
